Heroncrest Styled Shoot
As the winter months give way to warmer weather and longer days, many couples choose to celebrate their love with a springtime wedding. With the changing of the seasons comes an opportunity for local wedding vendors to showcase their talents, and this recent styled shoot is a perfect example.
The inspiration for this shoot came from spring colors, local flora and fauna, and quartz crystals. Cat Brown of Earth & Thorn, an incredibly talented florist, created stunning arrangements featuring dogwood, tulips, and daffodils. The bright and bold color palette was further enhanced by Alchemy Event Rentals, who provided furniture pieces such as a baby blue couch and orange rattan chairs, adding pops of color that complemented the springtime theme.
Real-life engaged couple Trey and Collin brought their joyful and fun-loving energy to the shoot, and their love radiated in front of the camera. The aim was to showcase that love is love, and every couple deserves to be represented in the wedding industry.
One of the key features of this styled shoot was the use of locally sourced flowers. These blooms were provided by Earth & Thorn, a local florist who sourced these flowers from local farms. Using locally sourced flowers not only supports the local economy, but it also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transporting flowers from other regions or countries.
The shoot also featured a handmade rattan sweetheart table from Ozark Luxury Camping, adorned with brass candle holders from Pretty Old Stuff NWA and tableware from Alchemy Event Rentals. Quartz crystals were incorporated throughout the shoot, adding a touch of spirituality and mysticism. The large quartz pieces used in the shoot were particularly special, as they were part of Jasmine's (of Stardust Weddings & Events) mother's collection. Jasmine's parents had bought the crystals in Hot Springs while on their honeymoon, making them not only beautiful but also sentimental. Arkansas is known for being a prime location for crystal mining, with the state's quartz crystals being highly sought after by collectors and spiritual practitioners alike. The Four of Wands, a local metaphysical shop, provided additional crystals for the shoot.
Laura, the talented photographer from Boston Mountain Photo, captured every detail of the shoot, showcasing the creativity and passion of the vendors involved. Her ability to capture the vibrancy and joy of the shoot was truly remarkable.
This styled shoot was a beautiful collaboration of local vendors who came together to create something truly unique and special. By incorporating personal touches such as locally sourced flowers and sentimental quartz crystals, the vendors were able to create an experience that felt authentic and meaningful. The shoot not only showcased the natural beauty of the region but also highlighted the importance of supporting local industries and promoting sustainable practices. From the stunning floral arrangements to the bold and colorful furniture pieces, every detail was carefully curated to bring the theme of spring to life. This shoot also serves as a reminder that we as vendors have a duty to ensure that all couples feel represented in the wedding industry.
